The narrative echoes past installments, a familiar pattern in some follow-up movies! This is the third film within the 'Blair Witch' series, though chronologically it’s the second part of the story. I haven’t watched the other sequel, and you don’t need to have seen it to understand this one. My impression is that the movie essentially replicates the first film; only the characters and timeframe are different. It seems they were limited in their options, so the plot was repeated using contemporary equipment. A group of new people—including a sibling of someone who disappeared two decades prior—goes into those same woods to look into what happened. They soon start experiencing unsettling and frightening things. It turns into a struggle for survival as they try to escape, and that’s essentially what the film leaves us wondering. If you're a fan of horror, especially films with violent elements, you might find something to appreciate here. Otherwise, it wasn’t particularly scary—at least not for me. Younger viewers might get more out of it, but those over 30 who have already seen the original may consider this average or even poor quality. It's geared towards a younger audience. I found it acceptable because I had low expectations going in. I hope they conclude the series here and avoid another sequel or reboot. _6/10_
