It’s a familiar story. The narrative includes elements like a clandestine government organization, assassins working on contract, concealed truths, and a seasoned veteran—anyone acquainted with similar stories will recognize the basic outline. The film follows a well-worn path, sticking to established conventions; however, it's competently executed thanks to experienced filmmakers, so it’s acceptable if you aren’t looking for something fresh. P.S. The inclusion of a female character who switches sides would have been standard fare for this kind of production and might have helped. As written, the script displays a noticeable bias; the women are portrayed as virtuous while the men are either flawed or require saving. This further contributes to its lack of surprise.
