I’m really on the fence about this one, and honestly, it's tough to deny that it manages to be diverting. It swings wildly between moments that are awkward or funny and scenes where the acting feels exaggerated versus genuinely good. The story itself is silly and unbelievable, but the events unfolding are generally amusing. It would definitely be less enjoyable without the appealing main characters. Peter Ustinov is entertaining as Blackbeard; occasionally his performance felt a bit too theatrical for my taste, though he delivers more laughs than disappointments. He and Dean Jones (Steve) work well together, and Jones also has good chemistry with Suzanne Pleshette (Jo Anne)—something we already saw two years earlier in *'The Ugly Dachshund'*. It wasn’t what I anticipated, and I’m leaving feeling like I wanted something else from *'Blackbeard's Ghost'*. Still, there are some humorous parts that are almost enjoyable.
