It's true that *Black Adam* isn’t doing anything radically different, and perhaps it doesn’t need to. The film aims for—and achieves—a purely enjoyable superhero experience! There are people who won’t like *Black Adam*, and I can see where they’re coming from. It might not be groundbreaking for the genre, but that certainly didn't prevent it from being great. From beginning to end, it delivers constant action. The visual effects were remarkable; there were several times when I almost exclaimed aloud. Dwayne Johnson portrays Black Adam as genuinely merciless, effortlessly tearing through groups of opponents with impressive force and swiftness. I had concerns about the PG-13 rating potentially toning down his intensity, but that wasn’t the case! The action was visually stunning and exceptionally well-executed. I appreciated the introduction of the Justice Society characters, although they felt somewhat familiar—there's a wisecracking character reminiscent of Spider-Man, a seasoned mentor like Professor X, and a leader with qualities similar to Wolverine or Deadshot. Pierce Brosnan embodied Dr. Fate perfectly, and I regret that his role was limited to a cameo appearance. The movie smartly avoided lengthy backstories for each character, which was helpful considering the number of new heroes being presented. There were moments of silliness, but they weren’t excessive. Be sure to watch the scene after the credits; it's fantastic! *Black Adam* is a welcome addition to superhero movies, and I am eager to see what happens next.
