I’d seen several negative assessments advising against investing time in this film, but truthfully, **_Bitch Slap_ turned out to be something I really liked**. It seems important to appreciate the movie for what it is and what filmmakers intended: a tribute to B movies from the 1950s and 70s, blending attractive women, fast cars, strong language, and wild action. And plenty of cleavage, lots of truly striking views of prominent chests. The **plot** isn't particularly complex, but it’s **never dull** and has a few unexpected turns because the story unfolds in a non-traditional way. **Visually, the movie is remarkable**. The combination of slow-motion sequences with quick cuts works very well, and the editing is excellent. It brought to mind Zack Snyder's version of Frank Miller’s _300_. (I am serious about that.) It’s essentially a modern reimagining of Russ Meyer’s notorious film "**Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!**" from 1965, but done in the style of a Frank Miller comic. The three lead female characters—a brunette stripper, a spirited redhead, and a blonde with psychopathic tendencies—were well-cast and portrayed effectively by Julia Voth, Erin Cummings, and America Olivo. The acting quality is surprisingly high for what’s described as a B movie; the shifts between serious moments and comedic bits are handled skillfully. What really impresses are the **impressive fight scenes** and **explicit romantic encounters**. Stunt Choreographer Zoe Bell did an excellent job; the fights look fantastic. _Bitch Slap_ isn't something you’d want to watch with your spouse during a typical movie night, but if you appreciate attractive women wearing revealing outfits, well-staged fight scenes, and can tolerate occasionally graphic violence, then you will likely find this film enjoyable. I certainly did—though I spent more time looking than actively watching, perhaps. **It was quite entertaining!**
