It’s enjoyable and I would happily watch it again, and I can suggest it to others. Although it follows a familiar Happy Madison/Adam Sandler formula, the focus on the child's well-being helps offset any lack of depth. The jokes still work, even if some are questionable; that was arguably intentional, meant to test limits. It’s an amusing and pleasant film that brings back memories of when I didn't care for Leslie Mann—primarily because she often appeared in unpleasant roles beyond just playing a foil, like portraying a "vengeful woman" type, and even when her actions seemed justified, she still felt like a villain instead of the story’s true opponent. The movie delivers exactly what it promises: due to unfortunate events, a child ends up with Adam Sandler, and comedy follows. It's not particularly groundbreaking, but it holds up well even two decades later.
