It’s enjoyable, something I’d happily watch again, and I feel comfortable suggesting it to others. I always enjoy revisiting films starring Rick Moranis, even though Tom Arnold isn’t usually among my favorite actors; he does a solid job portraying this character who is essentially a large, unpleasant bully. The movie spends considerable time setting the scene, and the filmmakers put effort into illustrating the dynamic between parents and children, attempting to convey a message about ending harmful patterns within families. However, for the majority of the runtime, it’s simply Tom being difficult toward Rick—it has a feel similar to an old-fashioned Tom and Jerry cartoon. I frequently found myself wondering throughout the film why legal action hadn't been taken against him. It isn’t a cinematic masterpiece, but it consistently delivers a positive experience. If you have a craving for a movie from the late 1990s and this one piques your interest, I suggest checking it out.
