I thought this film was pretty good and entertaining, even with its occasionally corny aspects. It seemed to embrace the cheesiness at times, but the narrative remained understandable and straightforward, which made for a pleasant viewing experience without being ridiculous. It’s easy for reviewers to be too critical of movies that warrant consideration. This one might not have gotten the attention it should because not enough people have taken the time to see what it offers. I wouldn't consider it a three-star movie, but I also wouldn’t score it lower than two stars. I’ve always liked Brandy’s singing and found her work in this film enjoyable as well. She possesses a lovely voice and adds something special to anything she does. Her abilities as both an actress and singer are frequently overlooked, but she really stands out in roles like this, demonstrating how much she can do.
