The follow-up film, which took some time to materialize, benefited from increased financial backing—reports suggest a budget ranging from $2 million to $3.7 million, a significant jump from the initial movie's $200,000—and featured a slightly more recognizable cast, including Michael Biehn, although Alexandra Daddario’s part seems to have been one of her larger roles, as filming took place in 2007. Like its predecessor, I didn't find it particularly flawed, but the narrative felt stretched thin and generally lacked originality. It never really dragged, though. It feels familiar; I believe I watched this previously under the title Bereavement, and now, with roughly seven extra minutes, my IMDb rating has gone up to a 4/10—this second time around, it was noticeably improved.
