"Benny Love You" doesn’t quite manage to be frightening, suffering from problems with the characters and a weak narrative. The people in the story, even the killer doll Benny himself, feel disconnected and unbelievable, almost like they're being controlled by strings. The acting, the storyline, and the movie’s general quality are all disappointing; it doesn't hold your attention because of its flimsy plot and uninspired performances. While Benny’s design is a somewhat positive element, the other characters aren't well-developed or believable. In the end, this film is really bad, receiving just one star—the only thing saving it slightly is Benny’s visual design compared to other horror movie villains. The silliness and lack of realism make for an odd experience that doesn’t deliver any real scares or enjoyment.
