The film features an energetic soundtrack from the Oscar Peterson trio, and Evelyn Lambert alongside Norman McLaren create a collection of images by drawing directly onto the film itself. Certain visuals are identifiable – I believe I noticed a shovel, a castle, and what seemed to be an amoeba. Others resemble the experience of struggling to get a clear picture on a television. Though largely unstructured, there's also some sense of balance present. The work is divided into three parts, each accompanied by music played at a distinct tempo and visually paced to match. The central segment feels somewhat less eventful, but the final one provides an exceptional combination of rhythm and creativity. It’s certainly among their stronger works.
