This is a really great movie! Chris Evans gives us some wonderful acting and also does the directing, and it’s all about these two people figuring out what love and friendship—and money—are really like. Nick, played by Chris Evans, feels very real; he's funny, playful, kind, and everything just seemed to come easily to him in the role. Alice Eve was fantastic as well! Her character Brooke felt authentic, had a lot going on inside, was someone many people could connect with, and you really liked her. Chris Evans and Alice Eve were an ideal pairing, both for their characters and together. I couldn’t believe it when I found out at the very end that Chris Evans directed the entire film. Hats off to him! I appreciated how much attention was paid to the actors' expressions; the overall feeling of the movie was wonderful; and I liked the way they handled these complicated people dealing with love, feelings, friendship, and finances in a breezy way. The film held my interest from beginning to end. I’m looking forward to seeing Chris Evans direct something else soon. I’d love a sequel to Before We Go, where Nick and Brooke get back together and discover true friendship and real love again.
