Beezel delivers genuine scares and moves at a quick tempo. The initial segment centers on Mr. Weems’s deception of Apollo, the photographer, compelling him to remain within a malevolent house. I found myself hoping Apollo would escape, wanting him to avoid becoming another casualty of the unpleasant witch. Both performers deliver strong performances throughout the film. In the second narrative, the nurse's evident kindness ultimately contributes to her fate. The moment she enters the crawl space, the sheer terror reflected on her face had me holding onto my seat tightly. The concluding story introduces a cheerful couple attempting to sell the cursed property, but the wife falls under the witch’s influence. This film held my interest and frequently prompted me to shield my eyes. The cinematography featuring photography in snowy landscapes and the starkness of the bare trees is quite striking.
