Becky is a movie with a deliberately exaggerated style and excessive nature that manages to be quite enjoyable. The idea of a young girl outwitting and defeating a collection of dangerous criminals could easily seem silly, and it's true there are times when things don’t make much sense, but the film still succeeds. Becky’s cleverness and strong will make her escape and quest for retribution rewarding to witness. The movie embraces its silliness effectively, creating situations that made me question what I was seeing while simultaneously keeping me engaged. It doesn't attempt to be realistic, which contributes to its appeal. While some elements are unbelievable, it’s the kind of film where you simply accept them and move on. Ultimately, Becky fulfills its purpose: providing a thrilling and amusing experience that holds your attention, even if it stretches believability somewhat. It's something I would watch again when I feel like indulging in some lighthearted, campy revenge.
