The film presents an enjoyable collection of interconnected stories centered around several women navigating various personal difficulties and employing diverse approaches to overcome them – with mixed results. While some situations feel somewhat manufactured, this actually highlights how easily minor events can influence our interactions, a point notably illustrated by the character of teacher “Agata” (Katarzyna Herman), who develops an infatuation with her colleague, the attractive PE instructor “Kuba” (Konrad Eleryk), yet seems hesitant about any real involvement – while he turns out to be more than just a casual encounter. Similarly, long-married “Krystyna” (Hanna Sleszynska) finds herself struggling to reignite passion in her marriage with her devoted but traditional husband “Wladek” (Olaf Lubaszenko), even when she tries dressing provocatively, using perfume, or impulsively signing them up for tango classes. Each character leans into familiar tropes, yet this very portrayal lends a sense of realism as it explores relatable challenges faced by people of all ages trying to maintain engaging and meaningful connections with their partners. The writing is genuinely funny, possessing an honesty that occasionally makes the situations uncomfortably recognizable. Although primarily told from a female viewpoint, the narrative could just as easily be flipped to explore a male perspective. It’s a series of amusing observations that amplify both the absurd and sincere aspects of relationships—from their beginnings to their eventual decline—and I found it quite entertaining.
