It struck me as having a touch of “Tom Thumb” about it, centering on a couple longing for a child who find their desire fulfilled when one of their steamed dumplings unexpectedly comes to life. This spirited, inquisitive, and playful creation finds itself in numerous predicaments while adjusting to the human world. However, as it matures and gains self-assurance, it begins to yearn for companionship—perhaps even a romantic partner. The question then becomes how the devoted mother will handle being displaced from her position as the sole focus of affection. I must admit, this offers an ingenious approach to handling stubbornness, and the ending genuinely brought a smile to my face. The animation is wonderfully done, moves along briskly, and manages to convey its narrative without relying on spoken words. It's enjoyable entertainment.
