This movie, BALLS UP, proved to be an incredibly disappointing film, failing to live up to its potentially amusing concept. While Mark Wahlberg and Paul Walter Hauser gave it their all, the inconsistent jokes and substandard special effects really let them down. Being a Portuguese speaker myself, I found the awkward Brazilian accents and incorrect pronunciations particularly hard to endure. Director Peter Farrelly seemed to be going for silly, unrestrained comedy, but instead produced something bland, disjointed, and ultimately unsuccessful. It just didn't connect with what it was trying to do.
