It might be wise to reconsider when you see a flash sale advertised at your neighborhood grocery store! These shoppers were casually buying eggs when suddenly they found themselves caught in an enormous tsunami that has turned the aisles into a chaotic scene with runaway carts and a hungry great white shark lurking about. "Josh" (played by Xavier Samuel), who happens to be a former lifeguard, manages to stay safe on top of the shelves, bringing some extra expertise to the situation. Unfortunately for him, he's also dealing with his ex-girlfriend, her new boyfriend, and other unpleasant characters who all need protecting from this shark’s smaller cousin. From there, the story unfolds in a manner reminiscent of simple children’s books about dangerous animals. You can expect someone will be eaten, another person will suffer serious injuries, and naturally, it's hoped that the attractive hero will save everyone before… The film’s production quality is its biggest weakness. While the acting isn’t award-worthy, the dialogue feels very ordinary, and the special effects often resemble something created with computer graphics from a standard bathtub. The sharks certainly deserve all the food they can get—though I would have preferred to feed them the people responsible for making this movie before subjecting the actors to it. It's exactly what you’d expect from the Sci-Fi Channel, and while it isn’t the worst example of its kind, it’s still a bit rough around the edges.
