Badland Hunters is an action thriller set in a world after civilization has collapsed, and despite its predictable storyline and underdeveloped characters, it delivers impressive fight scenes and thrilling action sequences. The direction, coming from someone experienced with stunts—previously involved in Train to Busan—is a real strength. While the film’s creative vision and special effects are noteworthy, they're held back by fairly standard writing. Fortunately, the brisk pacing keeps things moving along without feeling padded. Don Lee gives a memorable performance as Nam-san, whose intense action moments largely compensate for any shortcomings in the plot, resulting in an enjoyable experience that's easy to recommend if you’re looking for something fast-paced and exciting.
