The movie delivers some intense and impactful action set pieces that should please those who enjoy this type of film. The fight within the apartment building’s basement, where Nam-san employs a shotgun to clear a path through some of the doctor's modified people, is genuinely thrilling. Ma Dong-seok has consistently been impressive since *Train to Busan*, but he really sends opponents sprawling with each punch or gunshot. _Badland Hunters_ likely establishes a new benchmark for beheadings in cinema.
