Seeing Bad Ronald as a kid back in the seventies really got to me. It’s definitely dated now when held up against modern movies; that much is obvious. While the film doesn't have impressive effects—and finding a decent print can be tricky—it compensates with its atmosphere, suspense, and creativity. I wouldn’t call Bad Ronald an essential work of filmmaking, but it’s something people who watched it originally are likely to recall.
