It's a diverting film about a man traveling through time to protect his mother—though I honestly didn’t quite follow all the details, as I was having too much fun watching it. The pace is remarkably quick; you'll really need to concentrate to keep track of everything unfolding on screen. This is an excellent movie, featuring a wonderful musical score and strong acting performances. It’s disappointing that the subsequent installments weren't as good as this initial one. - Ian Beale
