I initially felt let down by this film when it came out in theaters in 1989, and even with later viewings on VHS and DVD, my feelings didn’t really change until after the early 2000s. It's enjoyable, but I find that it feels somewhat disconnected as it jumps between different time periods: 1985, 2015, an alternate version of 1985, and then back to 1955. However, I do enjoy the way they recreated events from the original film using special effects. **4.0/5** PS: I still recall watching a TV program years ago and genuinely believing that hoverboards were actually possible, haha.
