It's a genuinely enjoyable film that I’d happily view again and feel comfortable suggesting to others. This isn’t comparable to "Day 5," the Rooster Teeth series about people who don’t wake up after falling asleep; instead, it feels like an inverted version of that premise, though still engaging. There's a certain fascination in observing characters gradually descend into madness within a narrative—it serves as a gauge for how far a story can stretch. The performers do well portraying their roles and the circumstances they face. The storyline is adequate, although its strength largely relies on the central idea itself. The film shifts focus away from the core dynamic of a mother and her two children, which leads to unusual relationships within the group trying to survive. This also introduces elements of predictability and restricts how realistically the characters can act. Fortunately, the movie manages to make up for these shortcomings; my main issue is its reliance on the "special child" narrative device. It’s absolutely worth seeing, and it's a welcome change to encounter a relatively original concept.
