While the action sequences are impressive and the special effects stand out, they don’t manage to hide the fact that the central storyline—revisiting the past to alter what is—feels poorly conceived and uninspired. I want to say this directly to whoever wrote the script. I was aware there would be elements of time travel, but Marvel's explanation and handling of it didn’t work very well for me personally. Simply relegating everything to “Quantum” isn’t a sufficient solution.
