It’s an acceptable film, but I doubt I’ll revisit it, and I can’t really suggest it to anyone. The feeling I got was that this movie seems geared toward people who work in writing, because it doesn’t quite connect with a general audience. It's not necessarily poor quality, just aimed at a specific niche. Essentially, a collection of aspiring writers starts to fall apart when the youngest and most attractive woman among them succeeds in making connections and advances to a more desirable situation. If you don’t have some understanding of Los Angeles or Hollywood culture, or aren't involved in writing yourself, or are unfamiliar with how people try to achieve recognition, then you might miss out on what this movie is trying to convey. I understand quite a bit of it, but I didn’t find it particularly meaningful.
