A massive spaceship makes an emergency landing in Moscow, and the aftermath quickly devolves into a predictable conflict between those wanting to attack and those hoping for communication. One of the beings from the ship disembarks to request assistance repairing their vessel so they can leave. The military commander’s daughter, along with her boyfriend and a tech-savvy acquaintance, encounter this alien, who seems to develop an interest in the girl. What follows is a rather absurd story featuring some truly lackluster performances, a noticeably awkward comedic script, and even a bizarre interspecies blood exchange! At its core, the narrative leans more toward romance than science fiction, bringing to mind Noah Wyle’s "Falling Skies"—relying heavily on computer-generated imagery that isn't particularly impressive—though it doesn't prove to be any worse than many expensive Hollywood sci-fi movies ("Independence Day: Resurgence," for example). The cartoonish voice acting is also a detriment; I would have preferred subtitles. And, to top it all off, the movie runs far too long.
