I had lower expectations going into *’Atlas'* after seeing some promotional pictures, and I ended up liking it quite a bit. It proves you shouldn't make assumptions based on first impressions. The film isn't flawless—it felt like it went on for too long, and the bad guy wasn't very impressive—but I still found myself enjoying it. Jennifer Lopez is someone I generally appreciate seeing in movies; out of the nine films I’ve watched her in, she hasn’t disappointed me yet, and this one is another worthwhile viewing experience, at least to my mind. As mentioned earlier, Simu Liu's character didn't leave much of an impression. It probably wasn't entirely his fault—maybe he could have delivered a stronger performance—but the way the character was presented visually contributed to how bland he seemed. I’d suggest checking it out, even though reviews elsewhere seem to indicate that isn't a widespread opinion. *shrugs*
