I had lower expectations going into *’Atlas'* after seeing some promotional pictures beforehand, and I ended up liking it quite a bit. It proves you shouldn't make assumptions based on initial impressions. The film isn't flawless; there are things that didn't entirely work, like the length of time it takes to get through the story and a fairly bland antagonist, but I still found myself enjoying it. Jennifer Lopez is an actress whose performances I consistently appreciate—I’ve seen nine films featuring her so far, and she hasn't disappointed me yet—and this one is another that’s worth seeing, in my opinion. As mentioned earlier, Simu Liu’s character felt forgettable. While his acting could possibly have been improved, the way the character was presented visually contributed to how uninteresting he seemed. I would suggest checking it out, even though reviews elsewhere seem to indicate that's not a widespread sentiment *shrugs*
