I’d been hearing about 'Atlantis: The Lost Empire' for quite some time, and now that I’ve seen it, I get the appeal. It really is very good. What struck me most was the animation; it’s beautiful to look at, particularly in the first two acts because of all the intricate detail. The characters are appealing, and the story itself has a captivating concept. Michael J. Fox does an exceptional job voicing Milo—he's great as the lead. To be honest, I didn’t notice any other standout vocal performances, but that isn’t necessarily a negative thing, particularly in this movie. There aren’t any truly remarkable individual turns outside of Fox’s performance, but the cast members work well together. The storyline is quite engaging and really comes to life thanks to James Newton Howard's wonderful score. It might not be among my absolute top Disney animated films, mostly because I've seen so many others, but it's close. It's an enjoyable film that I would suggest checking out if you haven’t already.
