The movie wasn't successful, but it had a certain charm because of how bad it was. The dialogue was truly awful; some attempts at cleverness just ended up being embarrassing. Surprisingly, this combination of weak writing and unremarkable performances made me laugh consistently throughout the film. Certain lines were so unbelievable that I couldn’t help but react to them physically—it proved to be quite entertaining in that way. As for the story itself, it was exactly what you'd anticipate. Monica Barbaro gave a decent performance, though; she seems like someone who could really shine if she were in something better made. I wouldn't suggest seeing At Midnight unless you’re looking for a film to mock its ridiculousness. Score: 33% Verdict: Bad (but fun)
