It’s clear that those responsible for creating this movie didn’t grasp how the Secret Service functions. It’s hard to say whether this was intentional—perhaps to deceive people unfamiliar with proper procedures—or simply a product of Hollywood’s lack of understanding, but either way, it's problematic. The idea that someone under protection would be permitted to disregard established Secret Service rules is completely unrealistic. Their repeated and obvious disregard for protective protocols wouldn't just lead to immediate dismissal; the individual would only be allowed to appear in controlled environments, away from public view. Allowing a Protectee to act as bait or wander across the nation trying to evade surveillance simply isn’t something that would ever happen. The action sequences were unintentionally funny, and the gunplay was terrible. Anyone who missed their targets with such frequency would have been dismissed long before achieving any level of experience. It's certainly not up there with Charles Bronson's finest work.
