Henry Golding portrays "Morgan," who finds himself unwillingly drawn into a dangerous situation by his contact, "Caldwell" (Sam Neill). He’s caught up in a deadly competition – there are six other assassins also aiming to eliminate him (or be eliminated themselves). Despite wanting to settle down with his girlfriend, a teacher named "Sophie" (Daniela Melchior), things change when they run into "Drakos" (Lorenzo Buran) at a park, and he realizes he won't have the freedom of choice he’d hoped for. The premise holds some promise, but what follows is disappointing. While the film moves quickly, it feels disjointed; there are numerous plot weaknesses. These characters are presented as highly skilled killers, yet they manage to locate each other too easily, and an excessive amount of emotion undermines the story's progression in a predictable manner. The narrative’s structure also proves confusing and flimsy. A longer scene featuring Golding showering might have improved his performance, which otherwise comes across as exaggerated, but that opportunity is missed. This is compounded by Sam Neill delivering a particularly uninspired performance and Noomi Rapace offering a nearly cartoonish portrayal of the police investigator "Vos"—a woman hiding something—the final product resembles an unremarkable television movie. Someone seems set on making Henry Golding a star. It’s going to be difficult; he lacks any real charm.
