The science-fiction film Ash, released in 2025, has striking visuals but proves to be an underwhelming and tedious experience that doesn’t meet expectations for its release year. The movie attempts to create a somber and moody atmosphere, yet it suffers from a painfully slow tempo, extending the perception of its 90-minute length. It centers on a survivor and a pilot searching for rescue on a distant planet; however, the plot is missing any significant suspense or drive, leading to a dull watch that doesn’t provide a rewarding conclusion. The computer-generated imagery is especially lackluster considering the film's modern production date.
