The premise involves two quirky individuals embarking on a journey intended for self-discovery. This one goes further than that; it centers around a man going through a divorce who’s dissatisfied with his existence and decides to stage his own death in order to assume a new identity and relocate. He then encounters a woman who seems to be wasting her life away, and the pair join forces for an unplanned adventure toward someplace they don't know. They set off with a purpose, but without a clear idea of how to achieve it. It’s quite amusing, though not in a boisterous or even subtly humorous way; that feeling will come as you watch. The two British performers portray American characters while retaining their accents, and they were both good—I enjoyed their dynamic together alongside the personalities they embody. The movie was pleasant enough to experience, but something feels off about it. It’s not an issue with the production values or the writing, nor is it due to a lack of directorial skill. Instead, it might be the thematic elements, which feel reminiscent of films from the sixties or seventies. ‘Sullivan's Travels’ and similar movies come to mind; it isn't directly comparable to anything else, but there's a sense of familiarity in how everything unfolds. It won't appeal to everyone, but some viewers may find it quite good.
