I’ve rarely encountered a film that unfolds at such a deliberate pace. It brought back memories of older video games—the kind where you struggle to advance beyond the first stage, slowly making progress while repeatedly starting over as you learn from your errors. This film operates similarly, featuring Robbie Amell and Rachael Taylor trapped in a recurring time loop. As they attempt to safeguard an invention that could potentially solve humanity's energy crisis, a narrative of deception emerges, with "Torus" being the corporation seeking to obtain it. However, consistent with his previous work, this is a rather dull and unremarkable drama; neither character possesses significant complexity, and the dialogue and special effects feel repetitive, ultimately reducing the film to something akin to a digital version of "Groundhog Day," complete with apples and fighting.
