It's possible that my enthusiasm for Armageddon might be excessive, but I still don’t believe it deserves the negative reputation it often receives. I realize I may seem overly fond of this film, but I can’t deny how much I enjoy it! I am aware there are numerous scientific errors—which is fine with me, as I don't watch Michael Bay films for their accuracy in science. While some moments feel predictable and the dialogue occasionally borders on corny, everything ultimately comes together effectively. The person who assembled the cast deserves recognition because each role seems perfectly suited to its actor. From Stomare’s eccentric cosmonaut to Fitchner’s disciplined leader, alongside Affleck, Duncan, Tyler, Wilson, Thornton, and others—the ensemble is remarkable! Bruce Willis embodies the ideal portrayal of a seasoned oil worker with the potential to save humanity. The end result is a group of characters that you become invested in, worry about, cheer for, and even grieve for. Michael Bay’s dynamic directing style and appreciation for visual effects enhance this extraordinary storyline. And the music! Liv Tyler's father, Steven Tyler, and Aerosmith contributed an unforgettable soundtrack featuring songs like Sweet Emotion, Come Together, and I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing. The combination of the actors, music, visuals, teamwork, and grand heroism makes this movie one of my personal favorites.
