This movie involves numerous shady financial dealings and, despite having some recognizable actors, ultimately proves to be fairly ordinary. The story revolves around a complicated arrangement involving loans, money laundering, and a pyramid scheme—essentially moving funds from one person to another in an attempt to cover things up before someone realizes the money wasn’t actually there. Throughout this, their broker, "Miller" (played by Richard Gere), is traveling extensively by private plane, enjoying luxurious accommodations, and spending money that isn't his. Susan Sarandon appears briefly as his wife, and Tim Roth puts in some effort as the police officer who begins to suspect what’s going on, but generally it’s a rather dull and unsophisticated film showcasing an actor past his prime, lacking humor or even remotely engaging conversations. I did find the ending somewhat surprising, but beyond that, this is instantly forgettable.
