This movie is framed as leaked material from a clandestine Apollo 18 mission that didn’t turn out well. I went in with low expectations because of the poor initial reception, but I ended up enjoying it quite a bit. It's a small-scale, unsettling horror film with some genuinely suspenseful and startling scenes. They did a good job of creating the impression of footage from 1973; everything felt believable, including the gear, the camera work, and how people spoke.
