Antlers presents itself as a horror film with well-crafted visuals and a focus on its characters, incorporating startling moments and an engaging story—though it doesn’t quite live up to what it could have been. The production team's experience shines through, allowing Scott Cooper to create a palpable sense of dread and present a compelling creature design that combines tangible effects with limited computer-generated imagery, even given the film’s financial constraints. Keri Russell anchors an interesting narrative centered on her character’s history, supported by beautiful camerawork; however, this aspect feels incomplete. The central storyline relies on more predictable elements and concludes with a visually appealing but ultimately disappointing resolution. It proved to be an enjoyable experience, but it's unlikely I will revisit it. Rating: B-
