This film felt dull, largely because its central idea seems lifted directly from the initial installment of this remake series. *Angels in the Endzone* is not a particularly enjoyable experience. While I did find some value in altering the background details related to the sports sequences, even that wasn’t enough to generate something genuinely original—it's familiar and substantial, but ultimately predictable. A straightforward shift from baseball to American football simply doesn't go far enough. The acting is noticeably weaker than what was presented in the 1994 version, though it’s still reasonably good; I don’t recall any of the performers making a lasting impression, however. Christopher Lloyd feels wasted again, and honestly, I can’t fault him for not fully investing himself—it's almost insulting to feature him on the cover like that. Among those who get more screen time, Paul Dooley is likely the most memorable. It’s a letdown as a follow-up to *Angels in the Outfield*. I remain hopeful that things will improve with *Angels in the Infield*—I'm choosing to be positive!
