What a letdown this film turned out to be! The premise itself held promise; it really had the potential to be something great. But the directing falters right away with that time-shifting device meant to explain things, and the narration just doesn’t work. Things only went downhill after that point. The performances are subpar, the narrative becomes muddled, and the plot twists don't contribute anything of value. I honestly can’t understand how anyone would find this enjoyable. It felt like it could have reinvented spy movies in the way Shaun of the Dead revitalized zombie comedies.
