It seems like someone felt it was time for another exorcism film to come out, since it’s been roughly six months since we've seen one. While the special effects depicting the possession and the demonic actions were well-executed and suitably unpleasant, there isn't anything fresh or original about this offering. What is shown doesn't measure up favorably when compared to numerous other films of its kind. The ending, which appeared intended as a shocking twist, instead felt like an obvious gag, undermining the entire experience.
