It’s true that *Alligator* didn’t receive any accolades, nor did it deserve to. The film is remarkably poor, yet surprisingly endearing should you approach it without expecting prestige cinema. It's undeniably flawed, to put it mildly. The plot involves an alligator being sent down the drain and into the sewers where it encounters experimental compounds that cause it to grow to a massive size. Even though this reptile reaches forty feet in length and is a dangerous predator, authorities dedicate the entire runtime to locating it, as if it were incredibly elusive, all while it’s consuming numerous unfortunate people. *Alligator* is absurd, illogical, and entertaining for those who appreciate vintage, low-budget monster movies.
