This installment in the 'Divergent' storyline delivers what fans have been anticipating—a glimpse beyond the wall. I’ve often questioned what existed outside that barrier, and this film transports viewers to an unfamiliar territory with new developments unfolding. Some familiar faces didn’t make it into this chapter, making room for a group of fresh characters. The overall feel was reminiscent of 'The Scorch Trials,' though obviously in a different environment. The director returned from the earlier movie, and I believe they handled things well. However, the core idea felt overly recognizable; it shares similarities with films like 'Scorch Trials', 'Catching Fire', and even 'Aeon Flux'. Fortunately, the narrative itself was reasonably good—a step up from the previous film but not quite as strong as the initial one. The story’s momentum suffered because a single book was divided into two movies. While this approach existed in the past, it became more common after 'Deathly Hallows.' I was eager to see how expansive the narrative would become, considering they had established so much within their original setting and were now venturing beyond its limits. I couldn’t guess what would occur, yet I could foresee the outcome of each individual scene. The dystopian elements felt predictable, not necessarily the plot itself. The ending suggests a grand conclusion is coming in the final film, 'Ascendant'. Here's hoping it provides a satisfying resolution. 6/10
