"Prabha," portrayed by Kani Kusruti, works as a nurse in a hectic Mumbai hospital and shares a small apartment with "Anu" (Divya Prabha), who often struggles financially. It’s established early on that she is married but her husband departed for Germany to work some time ago, and she hasn't received any communication from him for over a year. Anu has her own set of emotional challenges; she’s developed feelings for a young Muslim man called "Shiaz" (Hridhu Haroon), recognizing that neither her family nor coworkers would ever approve of such a relationship or marriage, suggesting elopement might be their only option. Simultaneously, their friend "Parvaty" (Chhaya Kadam) is facing eviction from her home because developers want to acquire the property; these threats have escalated to the point where her electricity has been cut off. In response, she decides to return to her village by the sea, a place where she owns her own home. Feeling compassion for her situation, the two friends agree to go with her, and it's during this journey that we learn through conversations and flashbacks about how each woman ended up in their current circumstances, and glimpse potential opportunities for their futures. The story unfolds gently against the backdrop of a city’s constant activity. These women consistently show concern for others but are gradually realizing they also need to prioritize themselves—and "Prabha," who has caught the attention of the kind "Dr. Manoj" (Azees Nedumangad), must decide whether to stay committed to her past or consider what might lie ahead. The film features strong cinematography, capturing both the vibrant (and often rainy) urban environment and the beauty of the water alongside ancient carvings in caves; the narrative highlights the choices—or lack thereof—these women can make within a society that values conformity. It has moments of lightness too, as these characters aren't portrayed as overly somber individuals, but there’s still a powerful message that creates an absorbing and well-developed exploration deserving of two hours of viewing time.
