The film 'All Is Bright' – or as it’s called locally, 'Almost Christmas' – doesn’t really capture the feeling of Christmas and its message isn’t particularly uplifting, but I still think it’s worth seeing. Paul Giamatti delivers a strong performance; he’s definitely the best thing about the movie, in my view. Paul Rudd is also present and contributes positively to the film. Sally Hawkins is enjoyable as well, although her accent takes some getting used to. It was nice to see Colman Domingo involved, even if his part isn't very large. It’s a strange one, especially given its Christmas label. It feels more like a story set during Christmas than a traditional Christmas movie. I did find myself enjoying it, just barely.
