Alienoid: Return to the Future attempts a lot by merging science fiction action with complicated time travel concepts. My experience watching it was a disorienting but stimulating one, because the story moves so quickly that it sometimes felt hard to follow. The film looks fantastic; the special effects are remarkable and the cinematography is colorful, both of which made for an enjoyable viewing. I found the characters likable and thoughtfully created, which allowed me to become invested in their stories even when the plot became difficult to grasp. The rapid storytelling definitely held my attention, although there were times when I struggled to keep track of everything that was happening. Though it expands on what came before, I think the story would have been better with more straightforward explanations. Certain attempts at humor didn't quite land, but the genuinely funny parts offered a welcome break from the intensity. Ultimately, Alienoid: Return to the Future is a visually impressive film that delivers an exciting experience for those who enjoy this type of movie. I was entertained by it, but also felt that a more understandable story would have made me appreciate its grand design even more.
