I generally dislike movies that attempt to re-examine elements of earlier films from different angles. Alienoid: Return to the Future does precisely that; it reimagines and expands upon parts of the initial narrative. Even after seeing the first film, I still found this sequel incredibly perplexing. It would have been far better as a straightforward continuation with its own distinct but connected storyline. Instead, this movie felt disjointed and challenging to understand. The frequent changes in focus between plot threads and characters don't connect well. The performances are acceptable, like the previous film, and the action sequences and special effects are good quality. However, the failure to prioritize a unified story significantly undermines the entire production. Ultimately, it’s difficult to suggest this sequel because of how fractured and complicated it is. I can't really recommend it.
