This film might be the strongest entry in the "Alien" series since "Aliens," and it's certainly on par with “Prometheus,” though they’re quite different experiences. I found myself really liking this movie. It doesn't seem to have been trying to be overly provocative or unique; instead, it feels like a project from someone who deeply appreciates the initial two "Alien" films from the 1980s and aimed to create something new that honors them while still contributing positively to the overall “Alien” narrative. The performances were generally strong. Cailee Spaeny delivered a reliable performance in her leading role, as anticipated. However, David Jonsson, portraying her android "brother," was a standout for me—his acting was truly the best part of the film. It's also important to note the effects and set design. There’s a wealth of impressive practical effects, striking lighting and cinematography, and a faithful set design reminiscent of the first two “Alien” movies, all contributing to an enjoyable viewing experience for fans of those earlier films. If you're a fan of the original "Alien" movies, this one is definitely worth checking out.
